Owner and groomer, Jennifer Smith is a Nationally Certified Master Groomer, having attained this prestigious status in 1996. She has been working with dogs since 1978. Early on, she worked in dog boarding and training facilities, as a dog sled driver, and as a vet tech.
Jennie is a much sought after national speaker at grooming conventions, speaking on various topics related to dog grooming. She competes and has won, multiple local and national grooming competitions. Jennie is also a dog grooming instructor and an American Red Cross Instructor of Animal CPR. She has a keen eye toward creativity and precision. Jennie’s expertise is skillfully demonstrated across a wide range of dogs, from Golden Retrievers to Bichons, from Chihuahuas to Schnauzers. Her proficiency at scissoring and shaping make her perfect for breeds where extra care is appreciated.
Despite her busy schedule, she finds time to breed and show Pomeranians and Flat Coated Retrievers.

She originally attended Dogs Own Grooming School so that she could volunteer for rescues and shelters and use her skills to spruce up adoptable pets. She also fosters pets for Bounce Animal Rescue in Fort Collins. Tracy loves traveling to warm climates and spending time with her grandkids when she’s not busy rescuing pups in need of forever homes!

Despite being native to Missouri, Alyson had the privilege of spending her younger years growing up in Steamboat Spring, Colorado. The opportunities that came with living in the country molded her into the animal fanatic she is today. Her family was heavily involved in mustang rescue. Though she never won a single ribbon, from that point on she knew she had been bitten by the dog show bug. She is now proudly owned by two Silken Windhounds and has a fairly active dog-show lifestyle. She spends a good deal of time lure coursing and participating in whatever dog activity she can get into!
Her additional passions include studying canine nutrition and conditioning, and genetics. She is always excited to share any and all of the knowledge she has!

In her leisure time, Kerrigan finds joy in cooking, indulging in movies, savoring music, and spending quality moments with her dogs, Pansey & Hattie. Summer days are often dedicated to lakeside gatherings with friends and family.
During her formative years, Kerrigan showcased a versatile skill set, engaging in piano and drum performances, singing, and excelling in volleyball. The passion for dogs took root through her participation in 4H Showmanship, Obedience, and Agility competitions, where she learned the significance of training, patience, and effective canine handling. Kerrigan’s dedication resulted in numerous grand championship placements over the years of competitive involvement.

Sam grew up in Georgia before moving to Colorado to attend Colorado State University, where he originally planned to become a veterinarian. Along the way, he discovered a passion for dog grooming and has now been grooming for eight years. Sam began his career as a bather at Dogs’ Own and is excited to return to the salon as a groomer.
He especially enjoys grooming drop-coated breeds and believes every dog deserves a positive grooming experience. After learning cooperative care practices through a local dog training facility, Sam developed a special interest in working with anxious and senior dogs, helping them feel safe, comfortable, and confident throughout the grooming process.
When he’s not at the salon, Sam enjoys playing video games and spending quality time with his girlfriend, as well as their dog, Red.
